The xx stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night, gracing the show with two performances. Performing "Say Something Loving" and "Lips" from their fantastic new album I See You, the trio performed in all black, offering the audience a taste of their distinct brand of minimalism. While their performance of "Say Something Loving" is a web exclusive and didn't make it to air, it's evident the band put just as much care into that performance as they did with "Lips."
The xx returned with their third studio album I See You last week, showcasing their slight shift in sound away from darkness. Speaking with Zane Lowe, Oliver Sim said, "[We] felt unified." He added, "We were there together. When the session ended, it kind of didn't end because we were all together and we were still talking. It was nice to have that moment to come together."
