After countless teases, Gorillaz have finally returned. The long-awaited new album from Gorillaz is due this year, and from the looks of things, the latest album from Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett's group could be on the way sooner than we thought. Today they've shared their first song in six years with the Benjamin Clementine-featuring "Hallelujah Money," and it's accompanied by a simple but captivating video starring Clementine.

It's unclear if the new song is taken from the fifth Gorillaz studio album or not, but it does arrive at an incredibly appropriate time. With Benjamin Clementine's vocals dominating the track, the video doesn't feature any of the animated Gorillaz members besides a brief silhouette of 2D. Standing in Trump Tower, the features colorful projections and powerful imagery cast upon Clementine, who delivers his vocals with animated passion.

Directed by Gorillaz and Giorgio Testi, it's a startling return for the band. If this is an implication of what to expect from their next studio album, then it could something special indeed when it arrives later this year.
