Allan Kingdom had a pretty good 2016, releasing his excellent Northern Lights project at the beginning of the year after joining Kanye West on "All Day" back in 2015. It only seems right for him to close out the year with one last track highlighting his hometown by remixing Lil Yachty's "Minnesota." The St. Paul-based artist promises that he has a new album on the way relatively soon, so it's nice to get a little appetizer before the main course arrives later this year.
While his "Minnesota" remix definitely won't turn up on his next project, it might offer a hint of what to expect. Over the instrumental, Allan showcases his signature refrain by offering a fresh take on Yachty's original.
