Despite only releasing his Warlord album earlier this year, Yung Lean is already back with a new release. Frost God is Leandoer's third project of the year and his first mixtape since 2013's Unknown Death 2002. Featuring production from Gud, Whitearmor, Acea, Woesum, and Shlohmo, Frost God is an early Christmas present that acts as a killer end to Leandoer's brilliant year.
Not too long ago, Leandoer shared the video for a surprise new track, "Hennessy & Sailor Moon," implying that something bigger was on the way soon. The track, which features frequent collaborator and touring partner Bladee, appears here alongside seven other new songs. The mixtape features two collaborations with Bladee as well as appearances from ASAP Ferg, Luckaleannn, and Adamn Killa.
Yung Lean has been keeping himself remarkably busy in 2016, resulting in perhaps his most prolific year since he first gained attention back in 2013. Releasing his second studio album as well as his debut album with his punk band Död Mark, there's just been an onslaught of new material from Leandoer under numerous aliases. There's also the forthcoming project from his very personal Jonatan Leandoer 127 namesake, which has seen a number of songs sprinkle out over the past year, including a collaboration with Dean Blunt.
