In the wee hours of the morning, TDE founder Anthony Tiffith tweeted that TDE released six albums this year, including two new artists. In February, Tiffith shared a photo on his Instagram of all the projects TDE planned to release for 2016. In the photo, it lists their two new artists as John Doe 1 and 2. Over the summer we learned that John Doe 1 was TDE's newcomer Lance Skiiiwalker.

i dropped 6 albums this yr. John Doe 1 n 2 both dropped. @skiiiwalker was 1 of them. do you know who the other 1 is ? i will reveal in 2017

Now that 2016 is only a few days away from coming to an end, it would seem that John Doe 2's release never saw the light of day. But Tiffith's tweet implied that they quietly released John Doe 2's music while many of us seemingly weren't paying full attention. The best guess would be Los Angeles-based artist SiR.

In October, SiR released his new EP titled Her and there's a few clues that make this guess seem like a very possible option. On iTunes, it appears that Her was released under a label called "iiinglewood SiR." The signature "iii" seems like a direct hint to ties with Kendrick Lamar. This hint is further backed by the fact that Lamar tweeted a link to SiR's album in October when it initially dropped.

Last year, SiR worked with Knxwledge—who contributed to Lamar's 2015 album To Pimp A Butterfly—on his single "Love You" and other tracks from his album Seven Sundays. SiR also made a guest vocal appearance last year on Jay Rock's90059 album. Earlier this year, SiR was found working with yet another TDE artist as he landed on Isaiah Rashad's latest album The Sun's Tirade. With his frequent involvement with TDE artists, it seems SiR could be the John Doe 2 Tiffith hinted at. However, we'll have to wait in see what more they plan to reveal for 2017.
