At the beginning of the year, Brooklyn-based singer and producer TCVVX shared the first single from this forthcoming, self-titled EP. The lead single, “Sucka For Love,” is a hard-hitting and addicting R&B record that found TCVVX battling between wanting to find love all while trying to avoid seemingly inevitable heartache.
In the time since he gave us the first single, TCVVX has been diligently working on crafting a debut EP. Now, before the year officially comes to a close, TCVVX has finally returned with his debut. He explains that his debut EP is the soundtrack to his journey—not just throughout 2016, but overall. From the beginning to end, a transformation and change of heart can be heard within the lyrics and production—especially on standouts like "Tonight" and "Days." TCVVX begins in a darker place filled with pain as he puts his vulnerabilities on full display, and closes out the EP sounding a bit more optimistic, ready for what's to come.
"A good part of the project was recorded in Montreal. Being back and forth between the states and Canada really influenced the sound—you’ll definitely hear that within the music," TCVVX explains. "While this is my first body of work, let this serve as something to hold you over and prepare you for what’s next."
