Rodney Tenor took a step back from the music scene in 2016 as "Prognosis Hypnosis" was his only release this year. The NY artist spent this time off perfecting his craft, improving his guitar and singing skill sets and figuring out how to be the biggest solo artist he can be.

Tonight he makes his leap back onto the scene with "Smother." Tenor's vocals are the focus of the record as he showcases his soothing voice over stripped down production courtesy of Jack Dine, co-producer of P&P favorite "Riot." The song has a simplicity to it that will be sure to grab your attention and have you snapping and singing along for days.

Speaking on the process of creating the new single, Rodney told us, "Smother was one of the more unique experiences I've ever had as far as recording and collaboration go. Bringing a roots/raw sound to the table, and working with a maximizer in Jack Dine proved to be a process we both managed to grow from, and intend on replicating in the future."

Can't wait to see what else he has in store for 2017. Check out "Smother" below.
