It would seem that Pete has been working with Kanye on the follow-up to 'Pablo.'

Earlier today it was reported that Kanye West had set up a temporary studio at his home in Bel-Air, working on new material for the follow-up to February's The Life of Pablo. While it was unclear as to what would come of the material if anything, but now, as Genius points out, Pete Rock has confirmed that Kanye is working on new music for real. Taking to his (private) Instagram, Pete Rock shared a couple of previews of beats.

With one of the Instagram posts reading "Playing 45s in da lab with Kanye West," it seems that Pete is working on new music with the fresh out of hospital Kanye West. With Kanye previously announcing that his next solo album would be called Turbo Grafx 16, people online have begun speculating that a notepad featuring the titles of numerous video games spotted in the video might have something to do with said album.

Featuring the titles of games such as Resident EvilSilent HillOkami, and Metroid Other (Presumably the 2010 Wii video game Metroid: Other M), people have speculated that this is either the tracklist for the album or a list of games which Kanye wishes to sample on his next release. Kanye sampled Street Fighter II twice on The Life of Pablo, so it wouldn't be out of the question to see more videogame samples on his next album.
