Yesterday Lupe Fiasco uploaded a new freestyle simply titled "N.E.R.D." Lupe has never been one to hold his tongue, and he took this opportunity to get some opinions off his chest. In the short time since he shared, Lupe has already seen some backlash that he did not expect to receive due to one specific lyric.

After hearing Lupe's new freestyle,  many listeners began to direct attention to the line: "Artists getting robbed for their publishing by dirty Jewish execs who think it's alms from the covenant"—which comes in just a little after the one minute mark. The controversial line seems to be a reference to his disappointing time with Atlantic Records and his relationship with Lyor Cohen.

Lupe took to his now-private Twitter account this morning to simultaneously express his feelings and make an announcement to his loyal fan base. He began shocked, saying that SoundCloud had taken his freestyle down due to "hate speech." Clearly frustrated with the constant backlash that he's received throughout his career for stating his own opinions, Lupe made the brash announcement that all future albums from him were canceled—he had revealed plans to release three albums this year which looked like it would now be pushed to 2017. Lupe has been one to announce retirement plans before, but it appears this may be the last straw for him.

The freestyle seems to still be working for the time being, so take a listen for yourself below.
