Kodak Black: "You N****s Can't Say Broccoli No More"

"From now on, I won't smoke no broccoli no more. I smoke cantaloupe."

As D.R.A.M. and Lil Yachty's"Broccoli" continues to see success, especially after recently receiving a 2017 Grammy nomination, you would think that the buzz will garner the duo more fans. But this hasn't necessarily been the case, as Kodak Black showed through Instagram today.

Earlier today, the Florida native posted a video of himself listening to "Broccoli" on Instagram, and while it appears as if he's enjoying the song at the beginning of the clip, he then quickly calls out the song's usage of the term "broccoli."

"You n****s don't smoke no broccoli!" Kodak says in the video. "Look man, from now on I don't smoke broccoli no more, I smoke cantaloupe, ince you square ass n****s trying to steal my swag." The rapper then posted another video, emphasizing once again that he doesn't want other rappers to use "broccoli" anymore, suggesting that perhaps they should take on "spinach" instead.

Lil Yachty caught wind of the videos, and took Instagram himself to try to clear the air, telling Kodak Black that all he shows is love and not to disrespect him. Yachty also says that he always gives Kodak the proper credit every time prior to performing "Broccoli."

Kodak Black used the term "broccoli" in his 2014 single "No Flockin." Of course, it was E-40 who coined the term from the eponymous track, "Broccoli," way back in 1998.
