Jay Pharoah might be most famous for his rap impressions, but beyond the imitation aspect of what he's doing, he's an incredibly talented freestyler, and his skills are on full display in this new clip. Pharoah stopped by DJ Whoo Kid's “The Whoolywood Shuffle” on Shade 45 and rapped in the styles of Eminem, Jay Z, and The Weeknd, but what's most impressive is when he goes in as himself.
It starts around the 2:25 mark, and he spits for multiple minutes as himself before getting into the Jay Z impression. The imitations are great, but it's crazy to see Pharoah freestyle in his own voice and realize that he's better at rapping than 95% of rappers doing it right now.
