J Cole Documentary

J. Cole released a new 40-minute documentary called Eyez last night, previewing music from his recently announced album, 4 Your Eyez Only. One of the tracks featured in the documentary, "False Prophets," has a lot of people talking. Rapping on the track, Cole points to "a star" who he says is "falling apart but we deny it." People are speculating that the "star" he's on about on the track is none other than Kanye West.

"Ego in charge of every move, he's a star / And we can't look away due to the days when he caught our hearts," he raps in the verse. "When he tell us he a genius but it's clearer lately / It's been hard for him to look into the mirror lately / There was a time when this nigga was my hero maybe / That's the reason why his fall from grace is hard to take." Of course, Cole does everything but say Kanye's name, meaning it's not 100% clear if he's addressing Kanye or just talking about rappers in general.

Radio personality Charlamagne, for one, believes that Cole is talking about Wale on the track's second verse. "People overlook Wale so much that they overlooking J Cole's verse about Wale," he tweeted. Meanwhile, a number of people are speculating that Cole is taking shots at Drake on the track, too. "Wonder what happened / Maybe it's my fault for idolizing niggas based off the words that they rapping' / But come to find out these niggas don't even write they own shit / Hear some new style bubbling up then they bite that shit."

Drake has been accused of using ghostwriters in the past, with such accusations leading to the now infamous feud with Meek Mill. He's also frequently been called a culture vulture, hopping on trends when they start to take off by remixing rising tracks.

Read what people are saying about the track below, and watch the documentary featuring the track here.
