In the middle of the night when no one was looking, Chance The Rapper quietly uploaded a nine song Christmas-themed mixtape with Jeremih called Merry Christmas Lil' Mama. Featuring guest appearances from fellow Chicago residents including Noname, Hannibal Buress, and Lud Foe, the holiday soundtrack doubles as an ode to the city (complete with a "for Chicago" note on the project's SoundCloud page).

Similar to the out-of-nowhere Based Freestyles mixtape that Chance released with Lil B in 2015, it looks like Merry Christmas Lil' Mama came together very recently. Jeremih announced the project to his fans through an Instagram photo from the studio featuring Monday's copy of The Chicago Tribune in the same frame as Chance's signature "3" hat.

Dive in below. Merry Christmas!
