UPDATE (12/6/2016): Ab-Soul has shared the tracklist for DWTW, which will feature SZA, ScHoolboy Q, and more. Take a look below.

Ab-Soul has been sharing a number of singles recently, leading many to speculate on him nearing the completion of a new album. Top Dawg Entertainment's CEO Anthony Tiffith has announced that the project is finally on its way after numerous delays, and it's coming very soon indeed. To coincide with the announcement of the project, Ab-Soul has dropped "Threatening Nature," with the full album arriving this Friday on December 9.

Produced by PakkMusicGroup, the menacing new track makes good use of Ab-Soul's idiosyncratic voice. Atop the dark production, Ab-Soul adopts numerous flows, hinting at a considerably different direction for his upcoming album, DWTW. "Threatening Nature" sounds a lot like 2016 felt. Ab-Soul also shared the cover art for the album on Twitter, and it's just as striking as the lead single.

The album has seen a number of delays after it was promised a release date was to come earlier this year, before Ab-Soul went quiet for a while without mention of a new album. "Ab-Soul & Mixed By Ali holding up his album," Tiffith announced on Twitter last month. "I'm done takin the blame... they need 2 get da mixes right.. that's the hold up. Get at them."
