YG's 'Red Friday' Mixtape CDs Will Be Available to Purchase for $100 Each

"The world's 2nd $100 CD."

YG's Red Friday mixtape will be arriving this Friday, and today he revealed that a limited run of physical copies will be available—but they won't come with a cheap price tag.

Following Nipsey Hussle's unique strategy of selling 1,000 copies of his 2013 Crenshaw mixtape for $100 each, YG announced that a limited run of 1,400 Red Friday physical CDs will be made (sold at a matching $100 price). So, if he's able to sell out of copies like Nipsey did, the promotion will earn him a nice $140,000 payday.

"So I just linked up with bro Nipsey Hussle & his Proud 2 Pay direct to consumer platform to do THE WORLDS 2ND $100 CD," YG wrote on Instagram Monday evening. "SUPER FANS & SUPER SUPPORTERS ONLY," he continued, explaining that they will be available at an in-store signing and meet-and-greet event in Oakland on release day (November 25).

We have reached out to YG's representatives for clarification on digital pricing and will update this article when new information is available.
