Back in September, London's legendary nightclub Fabric was closed down after its license was revoked followed two drug-related deaths. The local council revoked the club's license after two 18-year-old clubbers died, and the closure prompted protest and benefit efforts. Many pointed towards Fabric's importance to dance music, especially when it comes to dance music of British origin. Thankfully, after appeal hearings, Fabric will officially reopen.

Today, a judge signed off an a new agreement reached by the club, Islington Council, and the Metropolitan Police, reports The Independent. With the reopening of the club, a new age restriction of 19 will be in place, meaning 18-year-olds won't be let into the club anymore for main events. CCTV cameras, ID scanning, and more security will be featured at the club upon reopening. Clubbers caught asking for drugs will receive a lifetime ban, it has been noted.

There hasn't been an official reopening date announced yet, but London's mayor Sadiq Khan thanked everyone who fought to reopen the club on his Twitter. Fabric also posted a lengthy thank you note on Facebook, celebrating the appeal result. Read Fabric's full note here.

JUST ANNOUNCED: @fabriclondon will reopen. Thanks to all who helped find a solution that protects the club’s future & keeps clubbers safe.
