Kanye West was under observation at a Los Angeles hospital Monday evening, according to NBC News.
An unnamed source close to the case told NBC that Los Angeles police responded to a medical welfare call around 1:20 p.m. PST Monday afternoon. Sources say that the decision to bring West to the hospital was "for his own health and safety" and that no criminal activity was involved.
This comes on the heels of a controversial show in Sacramento that was cut short after three songs and the news that the rest of his nationwide "Saint Pablo" tour will be cancelled.
No other details are available at this time and West's representatives have yet to release an official statement.
