Hudson Mohawke has made his first foray into video game soundtrack work with his Ded Sec album, the instrumental accompaniment to Ubisoft's new hacker action videogame Watch Dogs 2. The video game, which features a group of hackers known as Ded Sec, features a soundtrack of licensed music as well as original compositions from the Scottish producer, who revisits the sounds of his earliest work on Ded Sec.
Ahead of the release of the videogame next week on November 15 for Xbox One and Playstation 4 (the game will be released on November 29 for Windows), Ded Sec is now available for purchase and streaming. The score is 100% Hudson Mohawke's project, and as much as it compliments the material it accompanies in the videogame, it works well as a follow-up to last year's full-length album Lantern.
