No celebration is complete without the right tracks to accompany the party, nor is any lamentation without a little music to help you convalesce. When you need to heal, reflect, or if you just need a really long listen to something that isn’t the news, we’re always nearby with the Best New Mixes Streaming to help brighten your day.

There’s a four-hour set courtesy of Four Tet from Far Away, Addison Groove went in on a mix that’ll whisk you off on holiday, A-Trak presents a restorative recording for these uncertain times, and FS Green’s latest All Good mix is more than just good. Plus there’s another four-hour session from Pender Street Steppers & Beautiful Swimmers for good measure. Press play and forget about the rest for a few hours.

A-Trak: Music Heals Mix

Recorded the day after the American election, A-Trak offered up a selection of songs that might help those trying to make sense of a stormy situation. “Music helps me process these emotions. Hope it does the same for you,” shared the Fool’s Gold founder alongside the following Music Heals mix, featuring familiar names like Stevie Wonder, Solange, Marvin Gaye, Isaac Hayes, and A Tribe Called Quest.

Four Tet: Live at Far Away, Los Angeles

Not long ago, at a venue called Far Away, Four Tet recorded the following set. As he explains, “I was the only DJ that night and I played from doors till close. Unfortunately the recording cut out during the night and we are missing the last 90 minutes. There are still the first 4.5 hours here for you to enjoy though. Thank you to everyone that was there and involved in making this such a great night.”

FS Green: All Good Vol. 5

Dutch producer FS Green delivers the fifth in his signature mix series, and like normal it’s filled with a bevvy of bootlegs and remixes that flit between disco, dancehall, hip-hop, house, and some heavy-ass bass. Click through for the tracklist enlightenment.

Maxwell Young: IRL Guest Mix 024

Introduced as “a sixteen year-old musician/producer/singer/young suburban teen boyfriend based out of Wellington, New Zealand,” we felt Maxwell Young’s mix for IRL deserved some shine. Chilled vibes permeate, plus there’s a bunch of this young man’s music included. Be sure to keep an eye out for more in future.

Addison Groove: Palm Tree Mix

Donning his Hawaiian shirt and wicker hat, so to speak, Addison Groove gathered various tropical tunes spanning the last few decades for his latest mix, which was kindly shared on Soundcloud. “Thanks to all the people who sent me new music this week, a lot of this is not out yet and some of it is older than you.”

Massacooramaan: Lair Mix #1

To celebrate the opening night of his new event in Portland, Oregon, Night Slugs affiliate Massacooraman “whipped up a little mix” to celebrate. A collision of house and hip-hop, the next event will be going down on December 3, so be sure to make it down if you find yourself in the area.

Jackmaster b2b Gerd Janson: Live at Circoloco x Loveland, ADE

Neither one a stranger to our Best New Mixes feature, Jackmaster gave some context about his sizeable back-to-back session with Gerd Janson at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event. “Gerd Janson and I played back to back at the Circoloco x Loveland party a couple of weeks ago at ADE. We had a lot of fun and the recording came out pretty nice! So we decided to share it with you guys.”

Itoa: Paranoise Guest Mix #107

Hold tight for this one, as Itoa wades deep into the depths of jungle, dub, juke, and throws out some forthcoming records all in a jiffy. Ideal for getting fired up on a Friday night, it’s less suited for the Monday morning crew.

DJ Wit: It's a DMV Thing

Representing your area in a positive light is an admirable pursuit in pretty much any line of work. When it comes to the DMV? DJ Wit has you covered. “For those of you who don't know, the DMV stands for DC, Maryland, Virginia, and is home to some of the best and most creative music coming out now. Being from the area, I wanted to make a mix featuring some of my favorite music coming out of there, whether it be Hip-Hop, Electronic, R&B, or anything in between. I tried to fit as much talent in this thing as possible, but there's definitely some artists that are missing. So sit back, relax, kick off your foams or 993s, grab a chicken box with some mumbo sauce, and enjoy.”

Pender Street Steppers & Beautiful Swimmers: Live at Dekmantel Festival

If the other 4+ hour mix on this list wasn’t quite the right fit, may we suggest this one taken live from this year’s Dekmantel Festival? It’s Pender Street Steppers and Beautiful Swimmers going back-to-back. And with a collective record collection like theirs, the set was always going to be a highlight for many.
