Riding the success of his excellent album, Malibu, Anderson .Paak has stayed busy with extensive touring, but that hasn't kept him out of the studio with the man who put him on many fans' radars in the first place: Dr. Dre.

As DJ Booth points out, his Friday morning interview with Power 106 swung in the direction of his relationship with Dre and .Paak said, "We've been getting it in." While he explained that he's been on the road since January, .Paak said they still make time for each other, adding, "Whenever I'm in town I just go over there and kick it with him and make something. And we just put it away."

Speaking on their easy-going working relationship, .Paak said, "It's super chill, man. It's super cool. We just drink some Hendrick's gin and chop it up [...] We work really fast. He's always inspired off of something and I'm always sending him stuff when I'm on the road—all the stuff that I work on. I'm always making music so I'm always sending him ideas."

He added that appreciates Dre's honesty about his music and wants to "utilize his ear and play him stuff" whenever he can.

After six songs together on Dr. Dre's 2015 comeback album, Compton, the thought of more collaborations from this duo is an exciting one. In the meantime, check out the full interview above (the conversation about Dr. Dre begins at the 5:00 mark).
