Believe it or not, the holiday season is rapidly creeping upon us all. While it still seems a bit early to start shopping, it's never too early to think of the best gifts for your loved ones (or yourself). Right in time for the season, Boston-based record label Get On Down will be releasing something extra special for this upcoming Black Friday.
This year's release will include a special edition of UGK and Outkast classic collaboration "Int'l Players Anthem (I Choose You)" on vinyl. However, rather than just a rare colored vinyl collectible, Get On Down is taking things to the next level with a Texas-shaped vinyl. Paying homage to UGK's Houston's roots, the special edition vinyl is not only shaped as the state but also features the state flag printed on it.
Along with this special pressing of "Int'l Players Anthem (I Choose You)," Get On Down will also be releasing the first ever vinyl version of James Brown’s Funky People (Part 3) and a special 2LP version of Jungle Brothers’ Done By the Forces of Nature. According to FACT, all of this year's special releases will be available on November 25.
In the meantime, listen to UGK and Outkast's classic single again for old times' sake.
