Los Angeles does not usually inspire visions of darkness, but there's no denying the city has a dark side. Somewhere in that city, Tepu has been hiding from the sun, creating wild, vibrant music within the confines of his apartment.
Not that you could tell from the music itself. "darkside," and Tepu's previous release "plastic wizard," are brimming with electronic light and emotive melodies that fans of Jai Paul and Passion Pit will relish. "Lyrically, 'darkside' is about supplying your own light," Tepu said, "No matter how vast the darkness is. Sonically, I was inspired by 90's music, arcade video games and boy bands.
