Eric B. & Rakim: "We Are Back."

It's been over two decades since the legendary hip-hop duo Eric B. & Rakim, who were nominated to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, were together, but now it looks like the two won't be apart for much longer.

In a stringoftweets, the duo wrote, "It's official. You heard it here first. We are back. Preparations are under way for #EricBandRakim's return. It's been a long time..." They then clarificed the nature of their reunion with a tweet asking where they should begin their new tour.

The duo dissolved in 1993 following a dispute with their record label, and following some solo endeavors, reunited on stage in 2010 for their induction into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame. Revisit their classic track, "I Ain't No Joke," below.
