Animal Collective Played A Private Show For Two Underage Fans

The band performed during their soundcheck for fans who couldn't get into an 18+ venue.

On Friday Night, indie darlings Animal Collective performed a show at Union Hall in Edmonton, Canada, but the band was distressed to find out that the venue was 18+. "We tried to find another venue but nothing else could work," they tweeted before asking fans to get in touch and presumably be part of some sort of alternate arrangement.

Bummed to say we just found out from the venue in Edmonton that they're unable to get a permit to allow kids under 18 into Fri's show.

A pair of young fans named Savanna and Cameron responded to the call, and for that, Animal Collective took some time during their soundcheck to perform for their teenage fans. "Just finished private set for the underage kids," the band wrote on Instagram. "Audience of two. Thanks to Cameron and Savanna for showing up and to Union Hall for letting us try and make up for the mixup!"

Check out some footage from the performance below.
