The name Pegasus Warning came to Los Angeles based singer, songwriter, and drummer Guillermo E. Brown in a dream. "It's a pitched down clarion call turned into a drum as a sonic symbol to stay on one's path and follow through on your dreams," he tells us over email.

Guillermo's deft mix of R&B, soul, and experimental production returns on his new EP PwEP2, which comes after a year's hiatus for Pegasus Warning. It's not as if Guillermo hasn't be working, though, as he's the drummer in the house band on The Late Late Show With James Corden. He explains that, at the time of writing, he's done 233 episodes.

The return of Pegasus Warning should be cause for excitement though, with "Read My Mind," written and produced with Robert Lux, being the second track to be released from the upcoming EP. "It is a lullaby for those cold city nights alone, the moments when the only heat is the light from your phone," Guillermo explains. "In between wake and sleep, stirred by heartstrings pulled by the one you want. Flames kept alive via electric waves through the air."

Pegasus Warning's PwEP2 EP is out September 30 via his own label, Melanin Harmonique Records.
