M.I.A. previously announced that she had recorded a track with Zayn Malik for her upcoming album A.I.M., and now that very collaboration is finally here. Debuted during an interview with Annie Mac, M.I.A. says she just got back from the Himalayas filming the video for the song. As our latest taste of the fast-approaching album, which is here on September 9, is just as promising as the previous singles.

"Freedun," which features M.I.A.'s usual political commentary, features a luscious hook from Zayn. The two go together well on the track, which is a little lighter than the previous cuts we've heard from A.I.M., but no less enjoyable. Following the release of "Go Off," "Bird Song," "Borders," and "Foreign Friend," it's sounding like A.I.M. is going to be an interesting farewell for M.I.A. as an artist.

Listen to the track below alongside an interview with Annie Mac.
