Tim Westwood isn't playing around in today's edition of his vault-opening throwback freestyles series. The English DJ treated Wu-Tang Clan fans with an amazing previously unheard 52-minute freestyle from 1997, featuring Ol' Dirty Bastard, RZA, Method Man, Masta Killa, and U-God.
Recorded in London, the freestyle was recorded during a promotional run for Wu-Tang Forever—and finds the crew in peak form. Over a phenomenal collection of beats, some rhymes veer in a jokey direction and are clearly off the dome, while others some come straight from their large catalog. Admittedly loose on Baileys, RZA is quick to remind us that they've "got hours of this" midway through the lengthy session. Listen below.
