The Weeknd is up to something.

Yesterday, we learned from an interview with a Republic Records exec that the Canadian singer is getting in the studio with Daft Punk. The Weeknd also shared a picture on Facebook hinting at the collaboration. Today, a snippet of new music has been uploaded to The Weeknd's Instagram, playing over a black background. The clip has been shared with just a cat emoji, which some are speculating is a hint that the song is a collaboration with producer Cashmere Cat.

If this is part of a new song from The Weeknd, it would be his first solo track since last year's all-conquering Beauty Behind The Madness album. He hasn't been quiet this year, though, recently featuring on a remix of Jeremih's "Pass Dat" and previously featuring on Beyoncé and Future projects, and remixing Bryson Tiller's "Rambo."

Check out the snippet below, and keep your eyes on The Weeknd's social media for more news.
