The Weeknd'sBeauty Behind the Madness turned one this past Sunday, so it seems appropriate that Abel Tesfaye got to celebrate with yet another win for the album.
According to Complex, Beauty Behind the Madness has earned the singer two Guinness World Records, including being the most streamed album on Spotify in one year by current listeners, as well as breaking the record for most consecutive weeks in the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 as a solo male artist between March 7, 2015 and January 9, 2016.
Between December 1, 2014 and December 1, 2015, the album earned 60 million listeners. To give you a further idea of just how popular The Weeknd has been, by January 13 of this year, the album's massive hit "Can't Feel My Face" accumulated 448,334,867.
The Weeknd's singles "Earned It," "Can't Feel My Face," and "The Hills" earned the singer spots on the Billboard chart, with the songs appearing in the Top 10 from March 7 to July 4, 2015; July 11 to November 14, 2015; and August 1 and August 29, 2015 to January 9, 2016, respectively. Both "Can't Feel My Face" and "The Hills" made it to No. 1.
As The Weeknd continues to bask in the success of Beauty Behind the Madness, he's also been working on new music. Just last week, Tesfaye teased a new song via his Instagram, and rumors about a Daft Punk collaboration surfaced, though it's unclear as to where this new material will end up.
