The soundtrack for Netflix’s The Get Down is shaping up nicely, with songs from Nas, Grandmaster Flash, Zayn Malik, and Nile Rodgers, as well as a contribution from Miguel already revealed.
Today, we get a collaboration between one of the show’s stars, Jaden Smith, and Raury, the latter of whom recently shared a photo of the duo on his Instagram. “Losing Your Mind” sees Smith and Raury trading smooth verses over the cool, feel-good production, with their voices perfectly complementing one another. Hopefully, the song will lead to more collaborations between the two young artists in the future.
Last month, Raury held the third annual RAURFEST, featuring Joey Bada$$, Lion Babe, Kirk Knight, and Kilo Kish. He also released his latest single, “Neveralone,” a song which he initially felt was “too personal to share.” Jaden Smith recently shared “Labor V2” in celebration of his 18th birthday, and appeared on stage alongside Justin Bieber to perform “Never Say Never.”
