MØ and Major Lazer previously teamed up for a cover of Frank Ocean’s “Lost,” and now with the backing of her band for a live session, she’s performed it for 4Music’s Box Upfront with got2b program. Putting a reggae spin of the Channel Orange classic, her performance is suitably passionate and energetic. With hype for Frank’s long-awaited Boys Don’t Cry at the highest it’s ever been thanks to the rumor it was going to drop last Friday (August 5), the video of the performance couldn’t have arrived at a better time.
While it remains to be seen where Frank’s album actually is, Channel Orange remains a compelling listen and MØ’s cover of the track will surely help the wait in the lead-up to its (hopefully) impending release. Watch her perform “Lost” with her band above.
