The last few weeks have been a roller coaster for Florida rapper Kodak Black. Just last week, it was reported after a court hearing that Kodak would be released from prison within the same week. However, just a day later the celebration for Kodak and his fans rapidly came to a halt when new reports claimed that Kodak would in fact remain in jail due to newly discovered warrants

The two outstanding warrants for Kodak Black were issued in separate locations—on in St. Lucie County, Florida and the other in Florence, South Carolina. The latest update reports that the warrant from South Carolina is the result of an alleged sexual battery incident that took place in a South Carolina hotel earlier this year.

According to the NY Daily NewsKodak Black—real name Dieuson Octave—has a "felony charge for criminal sexual conduct" for the Florence incident. Florence County Sherriff Major Michael M. Nunn told NY Daily News that "on or about February 7, 2016 Octave is alleged to have engaged in the sexual battery of the victim at a hotel located at 2120 West Lucas Street."

Kodak Black remains in custody in Broward County, Florida until further notice. Though this now explains why Kodak was held in jail longer than originally expected, but there is no word yet on what his future holds.
