The last time De La Soul released a full album as a trioBeyoncé was playing shows with Destiny's Child and America was still freaking out over Janet Jackson's Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction. So, yeah, it's been a while. With the release of their new Kickstarter-funded album, and the Anonymous Nobody..., the legendary New York group proves they've still got it.

Featuring excellent guest performances from Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz, Little Dragon, Usher, and more, the project manages to feel relevant and fresh in 2016—almost twenty years after their debut 3 Feet High and Rising dropped.

Along with the 17-track project (which can be streamed in full) the trio also shared a documentary which details the long road the band took to record and release the project. The J Anders Urmacher-directed film can be seen above.
