Having collaborated with fellow Chicago artists like Chance The Rapper, Mick Jenkins, Joey Purp, and G Herbo, Zarif Wilder (theMind) has been honing his talents as a part of production collective THEMpeople for years—and now he’s ready to share his debut project with the world.
On Summer Camp, theMind guides listeners along the journey of his maturation process, mixing his mastery of R&B with the hip-hop flavor we’ve come to love from his Chicago collaborators. Produced largely by THEMpeople, the project finds Wilder fully in charge, seamlessly incorporating contributions from Knox Fortune, Noname, Carter Lang, Towkio, Donnie Trumpet, and Peter Cottontale into the fold.
