There’s been a lot of phone-related content pumped out in 2016, but Jaunt’s new music video might be the best of the bunch.
“Hello” is a two-minute journey inside the dying world of landlines—we start with an unnamed, statuesque protagonist. She’s nervous about making this call, and is having trouble working up the courage to actually place the call. Once she does, however, the camera dives into the phone itself and we see the whimsical metal mechanisms once needed to connect two humans.
“Hello” is part of Jaunt’s Chat EP, out July 22. We first found out about the Canadian quintet via The Inbox, and we’re glad we did. Watch “Hello” above.
