BANKS‘ career took off throughout 2013 and 2014, culminating with the release of her debut album Goddess. Since then she’s done her own tours, played festivals, supported The Weeknd, collaborated with other artists, and released the one-off track “Better.“
Today, BANKS is back with news of her sophomore album, plus a new song and video, “Fuck With Myself.” The as yet untitled album will be released September 30, but the new video is out now, and there’s a lot to take in, from terrifying masks to a very lifelike sculpture of a face.
BANKS explains that this was the last song that she wrote for the album, and that the title can mean many things, both positive and negative. “This song is about being your own best friend, your own mother, and your own lover,” she says.
