A fan who purchased a Nirvana session reel dated February 15, 1993 stumbled into treasure when two of the seven recordings ended up being never-before-heard songs. The two new tracks (which can be heard below) are joined by alternate versions of “Marigold” and “Dumb.”

On the first unreleased song, labeled “Dave Solo,” Dave Grohl rips through a punk-inspired instrumental, playing all the instruments himself. Then things get weird on “Lullaby,” a disjointed experimental cut that was clearly miles away from landing on any of their albums. For any Nirvana fan, though, it’s an interesting look at an early sketch from the legendary band. Check out both recordings as well as a photo of reel notes via Alternative Nation below.
