Vince Staples recruited a number of super talented producers for his fantastic debut album Summertime ’06 last year, and among them was based pioneer Clams Casino. Producing on three of the best songs on the album, Clams Casino proved just how vital of a producer he is once again with his work on Summertime ’06. Now Vince is returning the favor by appearing on Clams Casino’s long overdue debut album, 32 Levels, with an incredible feature on “All Nite.”
Coming in over a minimalistic but distinctly Clammy Clams beat, Vince delivers a verse just as excellent as we’ve come to expect from him. Filled with texture that perfectly compliments Vince’s singular voice and brilliant lyrics, “All Nite” makes it evident that these two work wonderfully together.
After revealing the tracklist and artwork for the album yesterday, Clams is ramping things up as we approach the album’s July 15 release date. With a whopping three appearances from Lil B alongside features from, A$AP Rocky, Joe Newman of alt-J, Sam Dew, Kelly Zutrau of Wet, Mikky Ekko, Kelela, and Samuel T. Herring of Future Islands fame, 32 Levels is looking to be one of 2016’s most exciting records.
