A top complaint among Desiigner haters is that they can’t understand a word he’s saying. Had it not been for Genius’ breakdown of the lyrics, many of us would still be in the dark. But really, the song is all about energy anyway, and it’d probably be a hit even if Desiigner was rapping in gibberish… or French.
During her time on Julie Adenuga’s Beats 1 show yesterday, Christine and the Queens (aka French artist Héloïse Letissier) gave us a little taste of what the song would sound like if it was actually rapped in French.
