Now that he’s officially in possession of a No. 1 hit, Desiigner is doing the things a star must: this week, the Brooklyn rapper released the music video for “Panda.” He followed it up last night with a performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
His facial expressions and kinetic thrashings are in full force here—prepare yourself for an onslaught of memes and gifs. Sadly, there are no pandas in sight. The off-kilter rendition continues the artist’s use of body movement over vocal mastery to convey emotion, no doubt exciting to some but frustrating for others.
