Events following Prince’s unfortunate passing have turned ugly.
After singer-songwriter Sinead O’Connor accused Arsenio Hall of supplying Prince with drugs for decades, Hall has responded this afternoon with a $5 million defamation lawsuit.
“Two words for the DEA investigating where prince got his drugs over the decades…. Arsenio Hall (AKA Prince’s and Eddie Murphy’s bitch),” O’Connor originally wrote in a post on Facebook. “Arsenio I’ve reported you to the Carver County Sherrif’s office. Expect their call. They are aware you spiked me years ago at Eddie murphy’s house.”
In the lawsuit, Hall says O’Connor is a “desperate attention-seeker” who is “well known for her media antics and for seeking attention through inflammatory Facebook posts.” Among other comments about major figures in music over the years, O’Connor has also been on record making negative comments about Prince as well.
Here’s to hoping this is resolved quickly and we can get back to appreciating the important mark Prince left on music history.
