Snoh Aalegra calls her music “cinematic soul,” and that’s never been more fitting than on her new EP, Don’t Explain.

The Swedish No I.D. protegé refers to the project as a “mini album” and it plays like the soundtrack to an old Bond film. Heavily influenced by the soulful sounds of decades past, Aalegra brings the sound up to date, enlisting contributions from an A-list lineup of collaborators including John Mayer, James Fauntleroy, BADBADNOTGOOD, Boi1da, and No I.D.

It’s the kind of album you’d imagine spinning on vinyl in the back of a 70s lounge at two in the morning as a heist was being planned (don’t worry, it sounds really good streaming from SoundCloud through an AUX cord in your bedroom, too). Listen below.
