We got familiar with Jeff Chery, the ATL-based rapper and singer, through his collaboration with Bromance Records. The French label released his first official project, Cherubic 6lues, at the end of last year, and he followed it up with the Jungle Juice mixtape in February.
Chery recently linked up with producer Savage and was inspired by his beats to record a bunch of new music. The first results of the collaboration are these three tracks that make up Slot Machine, which they’re giving away for free download as a thank you to fans. Chery switches between singing and rapping on many of his tracks, and his ear for low-key catchy melodies is on display again here.
