Spring has officially sprung, and with it we have a ripe selection of new mixes befitting the season at hand. If it's something chilled you're after, we have you covered and then some. There are some serious track selections from people like Poolside, Gilb'R and Ivy Lab on mixes that may or may not play a key role in your planning an impromptu holiday by the end of listening. Others, including juicy mixes by Peter Leung, Bobby Donny, and Shir Khan, will surely help to make the sun shine a little brighter.

These are the best new mixes streaming right now.

2. Ivy Lab: Sounds Of Sónar Mix

Some of you out there reading this may have already procured a ticket for this year's Sonar festival in Barcelona, whilst some of you might be on the fence. If you need any persuading simply because you don't know who's playing, this mix from Ivy Lab is a strong candidate for swaying your decision.

"We're hyped to be playing at Sónar this summer! Here's an exclusive mix we put together for the festival to showcase what people can expect from us out there."

Also playing over three days in June: Kaytranada, Skepta, Mura Masa, Kelela, and a bunch of other guaranteed A+ acts with names that don't necessarily end in the letter 'a'.

3. Gilb'R: Dekmantel Selectors Podcast 001

An offshoot from their already awesome mix series, Dutch festival Dekmantel recently launched the first of ten special 'Selectors' Podcasts, kicked off by Gilb'R from France.

"I feel very honoured to have been asked to kick-off the new Selectors Podcast series. Recently, I moved many records from Paris to Amsterdam, so I had to make a selection of the ones that really meant something to me, and get rid of the rest. I’ve never been a collector, but I always bought records I liked. As I like loads of different music, you can hopefully hear that in the mix as well. Some of the records are skipping, crackling and you can hear weird noises, but it reflects the things l’ve always loved for the last twenty years. The selection is pretty random: I picked one record per box from my shelves. The mix was supposed to be 20 tracks for 20 years of Versatile, but one is missing and I didn't want to make it too long. Sit back, relax and I hope you’ll enjoy it."

4. Poolside: Contact High Mixtape

Possibly the easiest for repeat listens, this super silky smooth collection of songs compiled and mixed by Poolside is perfect for (you guessed it!) chilled poolside listening.

"We hope this mix gives you a good buzz. We’ve put tons of unreleased edits and new tunes in here. Bring on spring!".

And like bumblebees to flowers we're hooked.

5. OTHERtone: Neptunes Mix

The latest episode of Pharrell and Scott Vener's OTHERtone Beats 1 segment made headlines for its star-studded guest-list (Justin Timberlake, Chad Hugo, and Tyler, the Creator equal an entertaining blend of personalities). But it was a mix of Neptunes cuts that stole the show, packing in a barrage of renowned classics and fan favorites that range from N.E.R.D. album cuts to 2001 Usher singles. Bare-bones Clipse bleeds into Blueprint 2 Hov, "Beautiful" couples with "Rock Your Body." It's a condensed testament to the far-reaching influence of Chad and Skateboard P.

17-plus minutes of hits. Don't miss out, press play and let this ride all weekend.

6. Konnykon: All Vinyl Soul Food Selection

We're suckers for something that was put together on the wheels of steel old school stylee, and so without further ado, this mix from the one half of Children of Zeus known as Konnykon (aka Broke'n'£nglish) is a quick shot of shit hot soul records, spun the way they were intended to be. Jams.

7. Peter Leung: Love International Mix

Tagged on Soundcloud as 'Lilo Core', Peter Leung is the man responsible for a mix that'll make your head float, made with this year's Love International festival in mind. Taking place in Tisno, Croatia, this mix is made for the sunshine; full of shimmering selects that would'nt be out of place as an alternative the soundtrack to a late '80s blockbuster starring Tom Cruise or Val Kilmer.

8. Gerry Read: Timetable Mix 003

Gerry Read gets weird on a mix made for the people at Timetable Records in Los Angeles. Full of shuffling snares, haunting vocals, cheeky hip-hop edits with all kinds of warped house records thrown in too; this mix does a great job at both a representation of Read's own repertoire and bending your brain a little bit.

9. DJ Cable: FABRICLIVE x BDL Mix

If you missed DJ Cable playing Room One at Fabric on Friday and the rowdiness that ensued, you're alright. There's a mix for that. The one we're referring to was recorded and released prior to the event, and features a healthy selection of grime, garage, and some truly unruly bass. Hold tight for this mix which may not be suitable listening if you had a heavy one last night.

10. Shir Khan: Boomselection 02 (Tape A) / Mixtape 2002

Berlin-based label owner, DJ and promoter Shir Khan has been doing the DJ circuit for more than a minute. Makes sense then that he's delved into the archives for a mix that's a little rough around the edges but still does the job to this day.

"Part 1 of my Classic Mixes Playlist...hip-hop, soul, funk, raga, UK garage, broken beats - a blend straight out of soundsystem culture, recorded and sold on tape from 2002."

11. Bobby Donny: Mix for Redlight Radio

Aside from sounding like a character from Goodfellas, Bobby Donny sounds like he enjoys listening to blunted hip-hop, as evidenced on this mix for Redlight Radio. Running at an hour in length, it does nicely timing-wise to roll one up, sit back and relax to before realising you have a thing called life to deal with.

12. Kirill Iva: Framework Mix for Test FM

Featuring a tracklist including Addison Groove, Ludacris, Fracture, Buggsy, and more than a few of his own personal edits and remixes, Russian breakbeat DJ Iva broke out a barrage of tunes for Framework on TEST FM, which broadcasts every 2nd and 4th Wednesday. Nice one bruvvah!
