We all process grief in different ways. After Prince’s unfortunate passing, most of us dug up old records and immersed ourselves deep into his catalog. In the case of artists like Autre Ne Veut, however, some use the pain of grief as inspiration to make something beautiful.
“Woke up this morning and was inspired to make this in honor of Prince,” he tweeted along with a link to his cover of Prince’s 1982 single “Little Red Corvette.” Taking the song in a modern electronic direction, he stacks several layers of vocals over reverberating synths to create a swirling downtempo version of the classic.
