When Tunji Ige came through our Airp&p, it was at the end of a very long SXSW weekend. He had played a lot of shows (including an incredible set for our Hype Hotel showcase) in a short period of time, and his voice was shot. Which made it all the more impressive when he rattled off this smooth freestyle over “Click Clack,” Slim Thug’s Neptunes-produced hit.
Tunji touches on everything from Pharrell to lawn gnomes to the Illuminati, showcasing multiple flows over the hard-hitting beat. Stream the freestyle above, and check out the rest of our backyard performances here.
