As it turns out, Ta-ku is a lot more than just beautiful beats. The Australian producer’s latest venture combines his love for photography with his love for music, joining forces with Repeat Pattern and Berlin-based label Jakarta Records. The result is their new creative label, brrwd. Today, we get its first release in the form of “You&I,” a gorgeously minimalistic song that acts as a strong reminder of Ta-ku’s raw talent.
The offering is the “beginning of a 10″ series that is as much a photographic series as a music focused one,” according to SoundCloud. The compilation is a “carefully curated selection of images and dirty loops,” pairing sound with sight. brrwd’s first release, brrwd Love Volume One, will be available digitally and on limited 10″ vinyl.
