Meyhem Lauren’s been working on his upcoming album Piatto D’Oro (which translates to “plate of gold”) for a minute now, and today, he’s shared the first single from the project. “Garlic and Oil” features none other than his favorite collaborator and F*ck That’s Delicious star, Action Bronson. The two Queens emcees trade verses over the quietly rumbling production (courtesy of DJ Shadow and A-Villa ) that seamlessly switches up halfway through in favor of a livelier, soulful beat.
Piatta D’Oro will arrive later this year via Fool’s Gold. Meyhem Lauren has also been working on a new Juxtapoz Magazine series called Got the Fever TV that will feature interviews with graffiti artists and promises “real shit, real interviews, real life graf.”
