Last week Rejjie Snow returned with a smooth track titled “Keep Your Head Up.” The featured soulful sampled helped complete the feel-good theme embedded in the track. This week he’s back with more—slowing things down even further with “Late Again.”
On “Late Again,” the production is slowed to an almost drowsy pace. Rejjie opens up on in such an honest way that makes it feel as if we’re hearing his deepest thoughts. The pairing artwork of an old photo transform “Late Again” from a regular song about dark thoughts into an intimate heart-to-heart between a boy and his mother.
