Kanye West has been keeping himself ridiculously busy recently, having just announced that he’ll be releasing his second album of the yearTubo Grafx 16, later this year. While he saved some outtakes from The Life of Pablo for the forthcoming project, it would appear that work on the album has officially started as of today, and Kanye is bringing along a number of his friends for the highly anticipated album.

Due this summer, Kanye’s personal barber Ibn Jasper confirmed that Kanye had started work on the album today by posting a picture of him in the studio on Instagram. Titling the picture “TURBO GRAFX 16 day 1,” the picture shows Kanye at work alongside his right-hand man Mike Dean, Kid Cudi, and Plain Pat. All of the artists that signed that infamous notepad but didn’t appear on The Life of Pablo are likely to turn up on Turbo Grafx 16.

We’ve already heard what we can only assume was one preview of the album in the form of the Sampha-featuring track he premiered at a club in L.A., but who knows what’s really going on when it comes to Kanye. Here’s hoping we don’t have to wait too long to hear the results of these recording sessions.
